In the prophets, women appear mostly as metaphor — Zion the bride, the harlot city, the haughty daughters with their tinkling ornaments. The committee tracks what that symbolic habit does to actual women, and pauses on the queen in Daniel who alone remembered the man who could read the writing on the wall.
